Jerry Ward, a well-known bodybuilder and judge for both the NPC and IFBB, passed away at the age of 46. According to a recent statement made by bodybuilding promoter Gary Udit, Ward passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022; however, the reason for his passing has not been disclosed at this time. The faithful wife, Erin Merritt, who was married to the bodybuilder, has been abandoned.
On Instagram, Udit said, "Regrettably, we lost a wonderful friend today with the passing of Jerry Ward." [Citation needed] Yesterday evening, Jerry passed away for no apparent reason. The NPC Teen, Collegiate, and Masters Nationals Live Stream were being broadcast from Pittsburgh, where he was. Throughout the years, Jerry was a formidable competitor, judge, expediter, head judge, and PPV commentator in the IFBB PRO LEAGUE and the NPC.

Dave Palumbo of Rx Muscle asserts that Ward was griping to a buddy that he felt he had injured his left rib when he was doing weights, and that Palumbo overheard the conversation. Palumbo said, as part of his most recent obligations for the livestream, that the alleged injury occurred as he was transferring his baggage to the area where he would be dwelling for the week.
This was the location where he would be spending the week. More though Ward utilized a massage chair, he was positive that it made the agony in his ribs even worse. He attributed this to the fact that the discomfort had been becoming worse over time.
